Reflection & practice - EVO 2011 - Week 4

WEEK 4 - IN SEARCH OF THE AUTONOMOUS LEARNER

Task
Think of strategies to get your students involved into independent practice of grammar, vocabulary and writing skills through word puzzles, crossword puzzles, cloze exercises and quizzes you can design with either HOT POTATOES or HOT POTATOES FOR MOODLE freeware that you can download from:

My answer
I think it's important to have our students focus on some grammar & vocabulary
items each week (items related to our lessons).
We could prepare a list of links with vocabulary & grammar tasks to be done by
the end of the week so as to help our students become more autonomus.
Actually that would be "guided" autonomy!
Another idea would be to ask the more proficient students to prepare games &
tasks for the weaker students. They could use spelling city, puzzle maker & so
on.
