Why teach about SDGs? And what are they?

Teaching high school ESL with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in mind can have numerous benefits for both students and the world at large.

First, incorporating the SDGs into ESL lessons can help students understand and appreciate the global context in which they are learning English. It can also provide them with a sense of purpose and motivation as they see how their language skills can be used to contribute to important global issues such as poverty, inequality, and climate change.
