ex: A police station gets robbed.
- Verbal irony: What is said is different from what is meant.
ex: When a character says " what a nice weather" while it's raining.
- Dramatic irony: Knowing something that a character does not know.
ex: Character in a horror movie wants to enter a room while the killer is in it.
