Book review: Zeus tames his temper by Elena Page.

Publisher's presentation

Join Taki and Toula as they’re launched back to the days of Ancient Greece. In this adventure Taki and Toula arrive at Mount Olympus. Zeus is having an argument with his brothers, Hades and Poseidon, over who should be the ruler of the gods. Zeus wants to win so badly he’s willing to bully his brothers.

It turns out Zeus has a terrible temper!

How will Taki and Toula help Zeus tame his temper and become the ruler of Olympus fairly?

Laugh along as Taki and Toula create history. Greek mythology has never been this much fun! A full-color Easy Reader book ideal for children aged 6-8 years old. Or a great read-aloud book for younger children.

My review (Originally published on Reader's Favorite)

Zeus tames his temper by Elena Page is part of a series of early readers for children from 4 to 9 years old. It is a delightful educational children’s book but also a very entertaining adventure in the time of the Greek gods. This book is perfect for children who enjoy fairy tales and mythology. It is indeed both a homage to the seven-league boots European fairy tale and Greek mythology. It is first and foremost the adventure of two young children, a girl, Toula, and her brother, Taki, but it is also a lesson in mythology (the author goes so far as adding fun facts to her story, which makes it even more enjoyable!) It is both a fairy tale with two lively, likable, and adventurous children who want to learn about the Greek gods and a mythology story that teaches them the power of benevolence, love, and caring for others.
