The Leadership for Change Prize 2026

I’m delighted to be taking part in the Leadership for Change Prize 2026, an international project organised by The Economist Educational Foundation that encourages young people to explore important issues, think critically and develop their own ideas about positive change. Through a series of lessons and activities, students are invited to question, discuss and collaborate while reflecting on what leadership can mean in their own lives. We have completed several lessons, and my students are already enjoying these different ways of learning and teaching, particularly the opportunity to think beyond the usual classroom setting. I particularly like the ambition of the project: it goes beyond understanding the world and encourages students to consider how they can contribute to shaping its future. The topic this year is loneliness and it is particularly relevant to teenagers.
